## How to Create my own Start-Up Posting?

In order to create your own posting, create an account by clicking "Sign Up / Register". You can then create a new Startup by filling out all the required forms.
After clicking "Submit", you won't see your startup in our list right away. Your submission needs to be approved by a member of the Founders team, which should take anywhere from 1-3 business days. Once your submission is seen and approved, you will be able to see your startup on the directory! If for any reason your submission is not approved, a member of Founders will reach out to you with additional questions.


Getting Registered


Registering your Startup with the Founders Startup Directory has never been easier.

## Step 1: Creating an Account

You can create an account by [signing in](/api/auth/login) with Google. The email that you register with should be the same one that we whitelisted. Upon creating an account, you can either **join an existing startup** or **create a new startup**.

### Creating A New Startup

To create a new startup, you can click "Create A Page" on the onboarding screen and follow the registration form to load information about your startup. You will have to fill out some information regarding your startup, such as your startups name, description, logo, etc.

## Step 2: Getting Your Startup Verified

Once you create an account with us, your startup profile will undergo a _review process_ before being published on our Startup Directory Feed. These reviews should take no longer than a few days, but feel free to contact us if it's taking longer than expected.

## Step 3: Browse!

Congrats! You have registered with the Founders Startup Directory! Feel free to take a look at all the startups that UIUC has to offer.


Edit Profile


Your profile is your startups place to advertise itself to the rest of the entrepreneurial ecosystem. To edit your profile, click on the "Account" tab after hovering over your Google profile picture. Here, you can add company founders, additional information, and other relevant metrics about your startup.

Posting Jobs


Currently, the Startup Directory does not support job listings.

You can, however, toggle the _"Hiring"_ status for your startup on your [account](/account). This will let other people know that your startup is hiring. We recommend using LinkedIn, Indeed, Handshake, Angel List, and other software to post job listings. (We do, however, hope to support native job listings soon!)
